APN & Cellphone Setup

Total Wireless (Verizon) APN settings for iPhone & Android

If you switched to Total Wireless and data, picture messages (MMS) or hotspot stopped working, your phone is probably still using your old carrier's APN. Enter the Total Wireless settings below exactly as shown, save, restart — then test with Wi-Fi off.

Total Wireless (Verizon)

Total Wireless is a Verizon/Tracfone brand, so it uses the Tracfone Verizon APN. If data works but MMS does not, check the MMSC and set APN protocol to IPv4/IPv6.

  1. Delete any old APNs from your previous carrier (keep only this one selected).
  2. Save → select the new APN → toggle Airplane Mode for 10 seconds.
  3. Test: turn Wi-Fi OFF, load a page, send a picture message, test hotspot.

Troubleshooting Total Wireless

Total Wireless-specific check: when data works but MMS does not, leave the APN value alone and set APN protocol to IPv4/IPv6, then restart — Total lines on the Tracfone Verizon APN often connect data on an IPv4-only setting while MMS silently fails until the protocol is opened up.
