Metro (T-Mobile) APN settings for iPhone & Android
If you switched to Metro and data, picture messages (MMS) or hotspot stopped working, your phone is probably still using your old carrier's APN. Enter the Metro settings below exactly as shown, save, restart — then test with Wi-Fi off.
Metro (T-Mobile)
APN protocol: IPv6, roaming protocol IPv4/IPv6 helps hotspot.
Metrofast.metropcs.comhttp://metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc310260default,supl,mms- Delete any old APNs from your previous carrier (keep only this one selected).
- Save → select the new APN → toggle Airplane Mode for 10 seconds.
- Test: turn Wi-Fi OFF, load a page, send a picture message, test hotspot.
Troubleshooting Metro
Metro-specific check: if data works but the hotspot turns on and passes no traffic, set APN protocol to IPv6 and roaming protocol to IPv4/IPv6 in this same APN, save and restart. Metro hotspot failures after a switch are usually that protocol pair, not the APN value itself.
